Although Jeff departed OHS his junior year to finish high school in Marietta Ohio, I had the pleasure of staying in touch with him until the end of his life, especially during his last seven years. (Thanks to David Dellinger's request that I track him down, Jeff attended our 1995 reunion.) Jeff is responsible for many of the good times that all of us had in all four years at OHS. His wit, sayings, and entertainment were second to none. He has been gone since June of 2002. I know that his spirit is laughing at us to this very day.

Jeff was a close friend, always with big smile and quick laugh, and was not always good at keeping a straight face when the situation required it.

I often reminded him of the time he and I went to play golf at Cedar Crest (now Fairfax National) in Centreville. On the 1st tee, he tried to impress the ladies with a "hugest" tee shot and a mighty swing. I was standing behind him and he asked me where the ball went. I told him he was the only person that I had ever seen hit a golf ball between his legs, as the ball rolled about 20' behind us.
