David Gaylord

David Bruce Gaylord, a 46-year resident of Yucca Valley, California went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 70 years old.

He was born October 5, 1951, to Walter and Marjorie Gaylord.

David grew up in a military family and chose to follow in his father's footsteps of serving his country and joined the United States Marine Corps. He was so proud to have served his country and loved to talk about his time in service. He especially loved the time he spent in Spain while serving. His last duty station was Twentynine Palms Marine Corps base. He decided to plant roots down in the neighboring town of Yucca Valley and started working for the telephone company where he retired with 30 years of service. While working at the telephone company he met the love of his life, JoAnn. They married and became parents to Kimberly and Courtney. David and JoAnn spent 39 years growing a family and creating beautiful memories together that was filled with lots of laughter and love.

David is preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Gaylord, father Walter Gaylord, and stepmother Frances Gaylord.

David is survived by his wife, JoAnn Gaylord; his two daughters, Kimberly Gaylord and Courtney Howk; his two grandchildren, Leila Howk and Xander Phillips; his two brothers, Bud Gaylord and Jeff Gaylord; and his son-in-law Jerry Howk.

David loved his family and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Dave:  We will surely miss you.  Your photography skills were exceptional.  Save us all a space and give hugs to all our classmates awaiting our arrival.  Our hearts go out to your family.  Rest In Peace.
