I started working for the FBI after I graduated from high school. I transferred to the Department of Defense in 1972 working for the Overseas dependent schools. In 1976 I went to work for the Naval Audit Service. In 1988 I accepted a job in Naval Special programs. I married David Lee and moved to Culpeper, VA in 1988. I worked in Crystal City,VA until 1995 and transferred to the Pentagon and retired in 2007. I had a good civil service career and worked with awesome Naval Officer's at the Pentagon. I was at the Pentagon on 9/11. The plane entered the builiding directly under our floor. I worked on the 5th floor. People on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor were killed instantly. We had 22 minutes to evacuate before our section caved in. I believe my life was spared that day to care for my mother. She had a stroke in 2006 and came to live with us in 2008. I'm a full time care giver now. I ask God everyday for the strength to care for my mother. It gets harder as I get older.
