Obituary for Ms Martha Ann Cannon
Prince William, VA

Ms. Martha Ann Cannon, 77, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dwight Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.

Ms. Cannon was born August 19, 1941 in Rock Hill, SC and was a daughter of the late Lyles B. Cannon, Sr. and Martha Thompson Cannon. She was a 1959 graduate of Chester High School and a 1963 graduate of Winthrop College and was a retired public school teacher having taught math in Manassas Virginia for over 49 years. Martha was currently acting as a math tutor and mentor for less fortunate students. She was attending Manassas Baptist Church. She enjoyed music and was a choir member at her former church, Grace Memorial Methodist Church. She was an avid Washington Red Skins fan and enjoyed Joe Gibbs racing.

She is survived by; one brother, L.B., Cannon, Jr. (Becky) of Chester SC; three nephews, Blake Cannon (Jennifer) of N. Augusta, SC, Kyle Cannon (Kristina) of Newberry, SC and Kirk Cannon (Brooke) of Chester, SC; four great-nephews; L.B. IV, Caeden, Jackson and Coleman Cannon; two great nieces Katie Beth and Harper Cannon; one aunt whom Martha loved as her sister Liza Stone (George) of Columbia, SC; cousins, George and Tommy Stone.
